ADM - Our History
Proud to be known as a three-generation company, servicing the engineering industry since 1955.
ADM - The early years
Before the formation of McCallum Brothers (1955), Ronnie, Doug and Jimmy McCallum worked together from 1944 along Sydney’s waterfront, mainly building and repairing ships. The McCallum's interest in the trade and their good work led to them working on cranes and it was during this time, whilst at Mascot, that Arthur (Doug) McCallum made the decision to branch off and form A.D. McCallum and Son Pty Ltd.
This was in 1966 when George McCallum joined Doug after serving three of his five-year apprenticeship at Arcos Industries. He then finished his boiler making trade gaining his trade certificate with his father.
Over the years, a strong clientele base has been achieved in all aspects of design and manufacture appertaining to steelwork.
ADM - The later years
In 1992, after serving a four-year apprenticeship and gaining a further two years experience with other companies, Jason McCallum joined his father and grandfather. Together they created the third generation of McCallums working as one. Jason brought with him his expertise of CAD drawing, design and MIG/TIG welding. This was of great benefit to the company.
Today, it is our pleasure to offer a comprehensive service from the design stage, to manufacturing, installation and repairs. We have the latest innovative equipment ensuring attention to detail and keeping the high standards of A.D. McCallum and Son.
